Hey there Astro Tribe!! My name is Becky Fritchie! I’m in my 9th year of teaching Science and Math at Spanish Lake Primary School in Geismar, Louisiana. You can learn a little more about me from my digital resume. I am passionate about space exploration education, STEM, and passion-driven learning through inquiry and hands-on learning experiences. Hi Everyone! So excited to be working with this group and glad to see we have some familiar faces like Becky Fritchie in this cohort!
My name is Sunny Washington and I’m the CEO of Because Learning. I’ve been working with education focused companies for over 17 years now and I’m very passionate about supporting our teachers.
I live in the SLC, UT area with my husband, 2 daughters, and 2 dogs.
Hi! I’m Debbie Rudtke and I live and teach in Alachua, Florida. Alachua is located in north central FL near Gainesville and the University of Florida! I’m married with 2 kids (my daughter is 21 and my son is 17 - so they are barely “kids” anymore!).
I’m currently in my 13th year of teaching and am teaching 4th grade (all subjects) this year. I spent 16+ years as a Research Scientist in the NYC area prior to becoming a teacher - I have a master’s degree in surface chemistry and specialized in the formulation of emulsions for skin care and pharmaceutical products. I have a passion for science and careers in science and I want my students to leave my classroom with at least an appreciation of but hopefully an interest in science and math.
You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, and on Twitter as @debrudtke
