I’m trying to understand UV ratings. Based on Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraviolet_index, it seems there are several wavelengths to measure.
Does this sensor average wavelengths for it’s reading? does it measure specific wavelengths?

Yes, the UV sensor does sense a range of the spectrum and gives a calculated value that approximates the average. The sensor has varying response to different wavelengths. Here is the responsivity curve and range of wavelengths that this sensor can measure.
